The Power of One

Effective Leadership Begins With Me

  •  We do not hear of organizations complaining that they have too many Leaders. What if an organization told their employees our organization is performing at such an extraordinary rate, we will need to lay off most of our leaders? That would never happen! In fact, organizations are investing in leadership because it understands the value of the leadership matrix.
  • A journey begins with the first step. A flood begins with a drop of water. Leadership is an infinite game. Once on the journey it is a lifelong endeavor. However, leadership must have a starting place. Start with Me!
  • Everything rises and falls on leadership. Leadership needs someone to champion the cause. Many times, people underestimate their abilities. I am not intelligent enough. I am not good looking enough. I am not an eloquent speaker. All of those are excuses for remaining in the status quo. What does status quo mean? It means the mess we are in.
  • Let’s begin today on our leadership journey. One person can make a significant impact if they only try.

Ethics Ethos and Implicit Bias

Ethics Ethos and Culture Awareness

  • Code of Ethics, every profession has one, but do they really know the promises made upon taking the oath?
  • In the professional community the code of ethics becomes wall art or a poster that becomes white noise in very short order.
  • Employee with an ethical ethos are numerous in the business world but the ones without ethics are the ones that make the news and cast a dark shadow over all professionals.
  • Implicit bias causes problems because it is a difficult topic. Very few are willing to talk about the elephant in the room.
  • Bias, prejudice, discrimination, and oppression have been the  Achilles heel in America since the declaration of  Independence.
  • Don't you think it is about time we cut the head off of the snake?
  • Allow me to spend some time and provide a new perspective for you, a way to discuss these difficult topics with your employees and reenergize your ethos of ethical behavior.
